Before the fire department arrived to put out the flames, members of the Indianapolis Police Department helped residents out of an apartment building. The mom lowered her toddlers out of a window as black smoke billowed out and were caught by police officers. Both kids and their mom safely got out of the 2nd floor apartment and were treated by EMS.
