There was a lot of nostalgia as workers hauled away the two telephones on Tuesday. It’s truly the end of an era. We’ll never tell loved ones to keep an extra quarter, “just in case they have to call home.” In many areas, the phone booths have been replaced by free wi-fi kiosks.
