1:17Now PlayingA rare albino Galapagos giant tortoise recently hatched after a mother tortoise laid five eggs. The unique birth happened at a zoo in Switzerland where a program is underway to preserve this endangered species. Officials say two tortoises hatched in May, and while one was black like mom, this tortoise was free of pigment. The zoo says an albino tortoise has never been observed in the wild and this one is the first known to be born in captivity. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
