Now it turns out it was all one big mistake that cost the manager who set the price his job. John Szczecina says it was a simple error. The price of gas that day should have been $6.99 a gallon. Instead, Szczecina says he accidentally put the decimal in the wrong spot, making the price 69 cents a gallon.
