as posted by the channelAuthorities in Sarasota, Florida, say a concerned citizen emailed them about a sedan driver who they said regularly used the sidewalk to get around road congestion. A sheriff’s deputy went to that location and witnessed this person driving on the sidewalk for themselves. According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Department, “As the vehicle pulled into the driveway where the deputy was parked, the car was stopped, and the driver was issued a citation for driving on the sidewalk.”
