Marine Unit deputies from Florida’s Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office say they were contacted by a concerned citizen about a shark being caught in a crab trap. There was a hook in the shark’s mouth, but the officers “determined they could not safely remove the hook.” The net was cut as low as possible, allowing the approximately 6-foot shark to swim free.
