He was later taken to the hospital where it was discovered he contracted a brain-eating amoeba. DeLeon had to be put in a medically induced coma for a week. Fortunately, the hospital he was staying at had Impavido. It's the only medication that treats the fatal organism. Now, DeLeon is one of four people to survive the deadly infection.
