Alisa Mathewson's estranged husband, Trevor Summers, was allowed to serve as his own lawyer during his trial. That permitted him to cross-examine her. She says Summers broke into her house and raped her. After trying to smother her with a pillow, he put her unconscious body into his car. While driving to a marina, Summers stopped at a Walgreens parking lot where Mathewson regained consciousness and escaped.
