YouTube Description
as posted by the channelA study, published in the journal Nature, says climate change is causing the world’s glaciers to melt five times faster than in the 1960s. Switzerland set a sad record last year by losing 6 percent of its glaciers. Germany is down to just four glaciers after one melted this summer. Experts believe if greenhouse emissions keep rising, 90% of the glaciers in the Alps will be gone by the end of this century. Unless more is done to arrest climate change, they could soon be just a memory.
