1:28Now PlayingThere’s an unofficial race across the Netherlands to find buried treasure hidden by German soldiers. The Dutch National Archives publicly released a map that has been kept confidential for 75 years. Officials say it was obtained by a Nazi soldier shortly after WWII. It’s believed that after a bank explosion in 1944, Nazi soldiers buried 4 large boxes filled with jewelry. Though the Dutch institute searched for the reported goods back in 1947, the treasure’s existence has never been confirmed.
