The FBI and other international law enforcement agencies shut down the sites owned by Genesis Market, a site that allegedly gave criminals the tools to steal identities and money. Criminals could pay less than $1 to access passwords. Authorities say there were 80 million digital fingerprints for sale. The FBI says victims of those using Genesis have lost tens of millions of dollars.
