2:17Now PlayingMajor Isaac C. Hart enlisted in the Union Army on April 16th, 1861. During the last year and a half of the war, Hart volunteered to serve with the U.S. Colored Troops 2nd Cavalry Regiment, an all-Black unit. A cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio, found an urn containing Hart’s cremated remains. The urn had been unclaimed since his death in 1913. In front of about 17 people, Major Hart was laid to rest among his fellow service members.
