A driver nearly hit people enjoying the day after speeding about 50 mph into the water, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. “We were trying to turn around. We didn’t think we could do a U-Turn over here. We were trying to keep going,” the driver is heard telling deputies, responding to the scene, on body camera footage. The driver was charged with DUI and reckless driving. She pleaded not guilty.
