Huntley Daniels was at a festival, an hour outside Chicago, when he was thrown from the ride after falling through his harness. His stunned mom watched the terror unfold. The ride is now closed, pending further investigation. Illinois officials inspected Moby Dick this year and said it was safe to operate. Inside Edition reached out to the makers of the ride as well as the company that leased it to the carnival and did not hear back.
