SHE is the Summer Healthcare Experience that was started in 2014. Specially selected high school students are invited to participate, in the hopes that their experience will get girls excited about careers that fight cancer. Only 32% of oncologists are women, according to the American Society of Clinical Oncology. SHE currently takes place at 10 university hospital locations around the U.S. The organization says 90% of its participants have pursued a career in healthcare.
