Specially selected high school students are invited to participate, in the hopes that their experience will get girls excited about careers that fight cancer. Only 32% of oncologists are women, according to the American Society of Clinical Oncology. SHE currently takes place at 10 university hospital locations around the U.S. The organization says 90% of its participants have pursued a career in healthcare.
