However, the Isons did not ask their family for money to pay for the repairs. Instead, they applied for a loan from a credit union. Four days later, the $2,000 loan was approved. With the money finally in hand, they called an air conditioner repairman who agreed to come over the next day. Tragically, it was too late. A neighbor discovered their bodies, along with their dog.
