1:24Now PlayingSearch and rescue teams are heading door-to-door looking for survivors and casualties of the wildfires on the Hawaiian Island of Maui. The death toll was 96 as of August 14. According to the National Fire Protection Agency, that’s the most deaths in a fire on American soil since 1918, and authorities say that number may continue to go up. Officials estimate the rebuilding of Lahaina and other parts of Maui will cost upwards of $5 billion.
