By luck, running in the same race were some health care professionals, including two nurses. Woodman's chances of surviving a serious heart attack were small but the health professionals teamed up and took turns doing CPR to try to save his life until an ambulance came. After six agonizing minutes, Woodman's heart started beating again in the ambulance on the way to the medical center.
