He was released from the hospital three weeks after it happened and already back in school. "It's a miracle, to be honest,” his neurosurgeon Dr. George Jallo told Inside Edition Digital. “I thought he may die in the operating room, which he did not.” Children with gunshot wounds to the head typically do not survive, he said.
