as posted by the channelA loose barge collided with a pier in Washington state. The US Coast Guard says around 1:30 in the afternoon, a water taxi company informed them that a container barge was “dangerously adrift” in Elliot Bay. Shipping containers were on top of the barge at the time, but high winds reportedly caused it to break free from its moor at Terminal 18 at the Port of Seattle. No injuries were reported, and the Coast Guard says they are investigating who is responsible for the slow speed collision.
