as posted by the channel

The U.S. Coast Guard says 20 people were rescued after being stranded on ice in Ohio. The frigid temperatures around Lake Erie created dangerous ice floes, which are sheets of floating ice. Authorities say they received reports that people were stuck on a floe about a mile long, floating about a half-mile off Catawba Island State Park. Two airboats were deployed and a helicopter took off from Air Station Detroit to reach the cold, stranded people. Miraculously, no injuries were reported.
