The incident happened after the deputy pursued Cure, who he says was speeding. After police say Cure ignored commands to put his hands behind his back, the officer tased him. He began to flail and came towards the deputy. The deputy opened fire and killed Cure. His family says he resisted because of psychological trauma from his time in prison.
