A double hand transplant was carried out and the patient is reportedly doing very well since the procedure in January. A woman who pledged to donate her organs was declared brain dead. The man who received her hands is a painter and he was kept ready for the surgery. When the woman’s family decided to take her off life support, they also carried out her final wish.
