According to the United States Geological Survey, a 7.4 magnitude quake struck the eastern coast of the nation on Wednesday morning. At least 76 aftershocks were recorded, with some measuring as high as 6.4 magnitude on the Richter scale. According to local fire departments, at least nine people have died and more than 900 have been reported injured.
