1:30Now PlayingTropical forests are in danger and have been for some time, but a group that keeps track of the world’s forests says deforestation still rose by 3.2% in 2023. That’s less land than was lost the year before. Global Forest Watch says new leadership in Brazil and Colombia helped preserve forest land in those countries. However, other countries like the Democratic Republic of Congo, Indonesia and Bolivia experienced high rates of forest loss. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
