She noticed something was different about her daughter at around 6 months old when she wasn’t hitting her milestones. After months of testing, Emma was diagnosed with KIF1A Associated Neurological Disorder, also known as KAND. “It was devastating. It turned our entire world upside down. There are only roughly 500 diagnosed with KAND worldwide,” Amanda told Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall.
