as posted by the channel

A pet store in New Jersey is asking for help tracking down a woman who allegedly walked away with a bird that cost $1,000. Video from Value Pet Center in Pennsauken shows the woman walking into the store and taking an interest in a sun conure. While she was holding the bird, employee Elvin Polanco says the store got busy and the staff got distracted. They assumed and hoped she would put it back in the cage before she left. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
