Bear Freed From Metal Milk Can After Being Trapped for Weeks

A bear seen with an old metal milk can around its neck has finally been set free. The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department was called in to help by a concerned citizen who believed the bear was in distress. Neighbors say this bear had been spotted with the metal around its neck for several weeks. But freeing the large animal, estimated to be around 250 pounds, was no easy task. While the bear was under sedation, the team cut the metal circle from around the animal���s neck.
