Isaac Schuman was killed in the confrontation, which the defendant says was triggered when he was looking for his lost cellphone and was taunted by the teens. Miu claims he acted in self-defense but the jury found him guilty of reckless homicide. At his sentencing, Miu choked up as he apologized.
