YouTube Description
as posted by the channelRetired U.S. Navy Lt. Commander John Jones spends hours carving "comfort birds" out of wood. Each of the comfort birds are laser engraved with an important message: the number of the Crisis Text Line. As a Vietnam-era veteran, Jones told WTKR he has seen many people in need of mental health support. So far, Jones has made about 70 comfort birds. He continues to carve in order to get even more in the hands of veterans during the holiday season.
