Adam Oakes was just 19 when he died on the floor of an off-campus fraternity party. He was pledging the Delta Chi fraternity at Virginia Commonwealth University. An autopsy determined he died from alcohol poisoning. He had consumed a nearly 40-ounce bottle of Jack Daniels while his fraternity brothers shouted "Chug!" his parents say. Eric and Linda Oakes, through their Love Like Adam Foundation now educate students, politicians, parents and colleges about the deadly dangers of hazing.
