They were sailing from Australia to Fiji when the storm ripped off the mast, leaving them stranded. They used a flare gun to signal for help. A Carnival cruise ship, The Splendor, was five hours away. Dustin Leonard and his fiancée, Helena Franczak, say they are lucky to be alive thanks to their rescue from the massive cruise ship. Their three dogs were also saved.
