Woman With 'Brittle Joints' Has Suffered Too Many Breaks to Count

Maria Sweeney from Oakland is living with a disability that causes her bones to break very easily. She was diagnosed with Bruck syndrome at 9 years old and has had to completely alter her lifestyle to stay healthy. The disability comes with a variety of complex physical components as well as chronic pain. The author details Bruck syndrome in her self-illustrated book, "Brittle Joints." "We've never experienced life without a severe pain," she told Inside Edition Digital's Andrea Swindall.
