A bald eagle is under close watch after it was discovered in a pig pen in Gila, New Mexico. According to Gila Wildlife Rescue, the bird is battered and bruised and is getting tested for West Nile virus, avian influenza, and lead poisoning. In California, another eagle is healing after it was electrocuted. The eagle is dealing with several injuries, including a broken coracoid, a bone that connects a bird’s shoulder to its keel to enable flight. Inside Edition Digital has more.
