His only professional aviation experience, according to US authorities, is that he used to be a flight attendant. Pokornik allegedly traveled the world in his pose as a pilot. Prosecutors say as a fake pilot, Pokornik obtained hundreds of free flights over the course of four years. Pokornik is facing federal wire fraud charges. He has pleaded not guilty.
