At ISI’s annual Homecoming Weekend in Wilmington, Delaware, nearly 250 students, alumni, professors, and friends gathered to reflect on how we can restore Western civilization and usher in a new golden age in America.

In this address, ISI President Johnny Burtka shares personal memories of Charlie Kirk, reflecting on his intellectual journey and his deep engagement with the conservative tradition. Drawing on insights from Russell Kirk’s writings, Johnny explores what it will take for Americans to resist cultural decline and recover the religious and moral foundations that sustain freedom and flourishing.

This talk is both a tribute to Charlie’s life and a challenge to conservatives everywhere: to strive as a remnant, rooted in faith, committed to the renewal of our culture and civilization.
