as posted by the channelOn May 22nd, the CPS Board voted to phase out Canter Middle School. The current seventh graders will be able to continue on to 8th grade, but no new seventh graders will be added. A successful Canter Middle School means an improved educational environment for schools in the entire neighborhood.
If you care about Ray Elementary School, if you care about Bret Harte Elementary School, if you care about Buelah Shoesmith Elementary School, if you care about Kozminski Community Academy, if you care about growing and improving the neighborhood schools in Kenwood and Hyde Park, please join the campaign to save Canter Middle School.
