Are Muslims Allowed to Lie? Understanding Taqiyya

Most people do not really understand the concept of Taqiyya in Islam. In this video, we examine whether Taqiyya is fact or fiction by looking directly at the Qur’an, Hadith, and classical Islamic theology.

Muslims often say Taqiyya only applies during persecution, but critics argue that it can also apply during times of conflict or war. So what do the Islamic sources actually say?

In this video we will look at:

• The classical Islamic concept of Dar al-Islam and Dar al-Harb

• Whether Taqiyya allows Muslims to conceal their beliefs
