5:15Now PlayingJohn Barklow is a former U.S. Navy Diver who spent the majority of his time in uniform with the SEAL Teams. Upon retirement he took the lead instructor position at the Naval Special Warfare Cold Weather Warfare Training Facility in Kodiak, Alaska, where he honed his hunting and survival skills, developing and testing gear for special operators working in harsh environments. He is currently the Big Game Product Manager at SITKA Gear, in Bozeman, Montana.
John also helped develop the Protective Combat Uniform (PCU) and Personal Environmental Protective Survival Equipment (PEPSE) system during his time with NSW.
