Socialists are divided on the extent to which nuclear energy should be a part of a green energy infrastructure buildout: some believe our only chance to avert climate change impels us to rely on the technology whereas others see no use for it or even find it jeopardizing to the remainder of the project, while plenty of others fall somewhere in the middle.

To get at the heart of these disagreements, we'll be hearing from Leigh Phillips and Christian Parenti.

Leigh is a science writer and EU affairs journalist, as well as the author of Austerity Ecology & the Collapse-Porn Addicts. Christian is a journalist and associate professor of economics at John Jay College, CUNY and the author of Tropic of Chaos: Climate Change and the New Geography of Violence.
