Meritocracy feels right but if you want a just society, you need to base society on another standard other than profits. If you're greedy, you want the poor having more money as it allows for money to buy your products. Romey has a ton of money but he'd never buy as many groceries, or clothes, or car as 300 million people.

Whether that's a basic living wage, whether that's company's paying their employees a living wage, whether it's both - if you earnestly want to attack and end poverty, under the capitalistic model, there's only one way to do it.
