‘Diversity Hire’: I Got the Job Because I Earned It Not Because I'm Hispanic

It’s wrong when Democrats say that because you’re white and blonde, you don’t deserve a job. Growing up, my own mom—five shades darker than me—told me she didn’t want to apply to companies with big DEI programs. She said, “When I come home, I want to look you and your sister in the eye and say I got the job not because I’m Hispanic, not because I’m a woman, not because I have dark skin, but because I earned it.
