AI should be regulated at the state level because we know our state best. Washington has been the problem, not the solution. I believe in states’ rights, and the closer that authority is to the people affected by the rules, the more likely we get those rules right.

My top concern with AI is the exploitation of young kids by AI chatbots. We’ve all heard the stories: young, impressionable boys and girls being pushed to do things, even to harm themselves, because an AI-manipulated chatbot told them to.

As governor, I want to build on the parental rights framework Ron DeSantis put in place. That means creating a bill of rights for every parent and child in Florida when it comes to artificial intelligence.
