1:50Now PlayingTRAILER | Join WWII historians and podcasters James Holland and Al Murray as they walk the Oosterbeek Perimeter, a key location during the Battle of Arnhem and Operation Market Garden in September 1944. British airborne forces, cut off and surrounded by German troops, held a defensive perimeter around the village of Oosterbeek for several days. Despite their bravery, they were overwhelmed by German forces and forced to evacuate or surrender. While the battle ended in a tactical defeat, the courage and sacrifice of these soldiers remain a powerful symbol of World War II heroism.
