The episode also examines the Royal Canadian Navy’s crucial contribution to the Battle of the Atlantic, before James and Al visit the radio room aboard HMS Belfast. The story then moves to the Pacific, where the Royal Australian Navy attacks Japanese positions at Cape Gloucester.
Finally, we explore the wartime contribution of the Dutch and American navies, as well as the Free French Navy and its remarkable submarine Surcouf—the largest submarine in the world when it entered service.
