as posted by the channel

The UK narrowly voted to separate from the European Union, sending global markets into a shock and dragging the pound down to its lowest point in 30 years. On the domestic front, the Supreme Court released decisions about affirmative action and immigration reform. The Court handed down a 5-3 vote upholding college affirmative action, but the eight-member bench created an even split on Obama's executive order regarding deportations and work permits. Meanwhile, the legislative branch kept itself busy by passionately debating gun control legislation. House Democrats even staged a sit-in to demand a vote on "no-fly, no-buy" from Republican Speaker Paul Ryan.
