Transcript: We have a mantra on the show which places importance on “moving the conversation forward” and I want to encourage you to do that, in part, by getting involved in the political process.
Vote this year in BOTH your primary and general elections. But, before you do… find out who’s involved and what’s at stake.
It's always said that "this is the most important election of all time." Usually that's bullshit. However, this election it could very well be true.
This election could mark the end of a major and historical political party. We could all very well bear witness to the death of the party of Abraham Lincoln.
Right now the party is being spoken for by ideological dinosaurs like Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, and Rick Santorum… Pushing their agendas of HATE, INTOLERANCE, and FEAR.
Pew Research recently published that 58% of Millennial Republicans are absolutely in support of same-sex marriage. That’s FIFTY-EIGHT PERCENT of Millennial REPUBLICANS. What these data reveal about our current political landscape is there is a MASSIVE shift taking place right now in American politics.
There are currently just about the same number of Millennials in the United States as Baby Boomers and going forward (based on mortality rates) the young will have a much larger share of the vote.
So, now is the time to SEIZE ownership of your political power and influence. Whether you vote Republican, Democrat, or third-party… Get out there and VOTE. Send the haters, the intolerant, and fear mongers packing. Your vote counts and your voice matters.
