YouTube Description
as posted by the channel🔴 LIVE | THE JIM ACOSTA SHOW
Jim Acosta is joined by Tara Setmayer of the Seneca Project and Geoff Bennett, co-anchor of PBS NewsHour and author of the new book Black Out Loud: The Revolutionary History of Black Comedy from Vaudeville to '90s Sitcoms, to break down one of the most chaotic days of the Trump presidency yet.
Trump dozed off — again — at his cabinet meeting while Pete Hegseth was speaking, as cabinet members competed to lavish praise on him. He made racist remarks about Somali immigrants in Minnesota, confused Ireland with the island of Diego Garcia while discussing the Iran war, bragged about passing cognitive tests he thinks are IQ tests, and mocked Gavin Newsom over dyslexia — prompting CNN to cut away. Speaker Mike Johnson then presented Trump with a made-up golden "America First Award" even as TSA remains unfunded, leaving travelers in four-hour airport lines with ICE agents sent in as the response.
Plus: Geoff Bennett on why PBS NewsHour's 30 million digital viewers skew younger than you think, and why public broadcasting has never mattered more — and a final plug for his new book Black Out Loud, out now.
