Is the United States really unique and an outlier when it comes to gun violence? Well, yes and no. There are certainly other countries where gun violence is as prevalent, and there are countries where it is easy to acquire guns, but there is no other country nearly as wealthy as the United States where guns are so easy to get a hold of and where such a high percentage of citizens die from gunfire every year.
