Gulf States Presiding Over Their Own Destruction! w/ Richard Medhurst

Jimmy and journalist Richard Medhurst discuss how the Gulf monarchies (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain) bet on the wrong horse by aligning with the U.S. and Israel, only to discover that American protection is worthless—their oil wealth bought them nothing as Iran destroys U.S. bases and closes the Strait of Hormuz. Medhurst explains that these kingdoms were artificial creations of British colonialism, named after corrupt families installed to project power over India, and that they are "spineless" with no strategic sense, unable to stand up to Iran or Israel.

He also argues that Iran is "decolonizing the region" by erasing borders drawn by the Sykes-Picot agreement and the Balfour Declaration, and that the logical move for the Gulf states would be to align with China, Russia, and Iran—but they likely won't because they lack courage. Medhurst concludes that the U.S. is transitioning to a "pirate strategy"—abandoning land bases for naval blockades and economic warfare—and that Iran must understand that as long as the U.S. can harass from a distance, the threat will not disappear.
